Work with creators
Find aligned creators, agree on clear terms, and measure the collaboration.
A creator partnership works when audience fit, product relevance, and creative trust align. Follower count alone says little about whether viewers will understand or use your app.
Build a qualified creator list
Search the questions, routines, and communities surrounding the problem. Review recent posts across platforms and record typical views, meaningful comments, posting consistency, audience location, format, and previous sponsorships.
- Their audience closely matches the app’s first users.
- Comments show conversation rather than repetitive or generic reactions.
- The creator has a recognizable format the app can enter naturally.
- Past sponsored content is transparent and still useful to the audience.
Send specific outreach
Hi [name] — I build [app], which helps [audience] achieve [result].
Your recent [specific series/post] reaches exactly that situation.
Are you open to a paid collaboration? I can send a short brief and working TestFlight build.
Keep the first message short, identify why the creator fits, and state that the opportunity is paid. Give them a real build before asking them to endorse it.
Put the agreement in writing
- Deliverables, platforms, dates, format, and revision limits.
- Flat fee, performance component, payment schedule, and expense handling.
- Tracking link, reporting window, and success metrics.
- Usage rights, paid amplification, whitelisting, territory, and duration.
- Required sponsorship disclosures and prohibited product claims.
- Cancellation, missed deadlines, and content-removal terms.
Evaluate beyond views
Compare total spend with attributed installs, trials, purchases, and retained users. Save strong hooks and audience insights even when a partnership is not profitable; the creative learning can improve organic posts and paid ads.
