title: "Create effective app videos"
description: "Build short creative concepts that make the app’s value visible."
---
An effective app video communicates one idea at a time. The first frame earns attention, the demonstration proves the claim, and the ending tells the viewer what to do next.

## Write the brief before filming

- **Audience:** the exact person and situation represented in the video.
- **Hook:** the opening visual or line that makes the problem recognizable.
- **Proof:** the real product action and result shown on screen.
- **Objection:** the main reason a qualified viewer might not try it.
- **Action:** one concrete next step and the destination it leads to.

## Use a simple narrative

```
0–2 seconds: recognizable problem or surprising result
2–8 seconds: real app demonstration
8–12 seconds: proof, reaction, or practical benefit
Final frame: app name and one action
```

## Make it feel native to the creator

Preserve the creator’s normal framing, vocabulary, pace, and humor. Place the app inside a routine, tutorial, comparison, or story they already know how to tell. The person remains the protagonist; the app is the tool that helps them reach the result.

## Create a controlled test matrix

Produce several variations from one base concept. Test different hooks against the same demonstration first, then refine the winning hook with new proof or calls to action. Label every asset so installs and purchases can be traced back to the concept.

:::tip
Never promise a result the product cannot reliably deliver. Clear, repeatable proof builds stronger conversion than exaggerated claims.
